Grow Up!

I seriously can't wait for the weekend to start. There's a talk about going out for a movie. Wanna catch Paris J'taime so bad... I've been waiting for it to arrive in Malaysian cinemas since December. I just hope that Shikin won't cancel on me this time around.

I still can't get over the fact that I am working 9 to 5 now. It's just unbelievable. Sometimes when I try too hard to deny the fact that I am now a full grown man with my own responsibilities, I ended up sleeping on the couch at 1 am with the TV on. I just want to stay up late, watch MTV, play computer games, finish all my magazines in one sitting, smoke outside the house at 2 am…Man! I just want to be a kid!

Well, my reflection in the mirror is telling me the opposite. Are those wrinkles on my forehead? And check out these tired eyes, the result of years and years of sleep deprivation. And don’t get me started on this skin texture!

Part of me are still yearning to act like a kid and do all those crazy stuff and make mistakes just to learn from it afterwards. But surprisingly, part of me are enjoying these (kinda) steady flow of cash, the neat looking ties and shoes that I wear to office everyday and not to mention my ability to hit the clubs (uhuh!) and city malls whenever I fell like. I guess it is safe to say that at this current stage, everything revolves around M.O.N.E.Y. At least, I know in my life it is..

My job doesn’t really offer the hefty 5K paycheck every single month. But it does provide me with a little luxury whenever my life demands for it. So, I guess I’m on the right track here. I realize the fact that it will all change right after I purchase my first car. It’s in the pipeline. I’m waiting for my driver’s license godammit! Wish I can speed up all the procedure and process!

As my first attempt to ‘grow up’ I stopped buying Teen Vogue. You can make fun of me and laugh all you want. But..yeah! I used to be an avid reader of Teen Vogue. I know it’s a female fashion magazine yada..yada..yada. But that is not the reason why I stopped buying it. I just feel that the word TEEN on the cover of the magazine is no longer relevant with my fully grown (and fabulous) self. Haha!

Right now I’m all about Details. (I’m referring to the magazine you silly!) I guess there’s nothing wrong with odd issues of Vogue every now and then.. French Vogue that is. What? It’s not like I’m going to rush out and buy all the couture dresses. I love fashion. It’s in my blood. It’s part of me.

Anyway, can someone please tell me if there’s really any dissimilarity between male and female fashion magazines?

It all started to look the same to me..
