Khloe Kardashian for PETA

Khloe is the latest star of PETA's "I rather be..." ads campaign. She admits to wearing fur in the past and has decided to swear off fur for good. Way to go Khloe!

She's like my fave Kardashian sister in Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Maybe not as hot as Kim but she's like the firecracker, the feisty ones in the family. She has potty-mouth just like me. Ha-hah!

I remember how the phone-throwing Naomi Campbell did the same ads in the 90s. She walked the runway in something that looked like road-kill a few weeks after the release of the campaign.

Naomi...Love her or hate her...

But I hope Khloe wont do the same thing because from what I heard, their clothing label Dash, does actually carry some suspiciously furry- collared jackets. That and the fact that the whole family still wear fur.

Definitely something to think about.

Lily Allen- New Single

Image form HERE

Lily Allen FINALLY officially released "The Fear" as her first single from her second album "It's Not Me, It's You".

I love the video clip. She looks gorgeous in it and watching the video reminded me of "Marie Antoinette". But the song was originally posted as "I Don't Know" on her Myspace page. I love the song and I hope the album will be as great as "Alright Still". Read more!

RM 52

Grainy images I know. I forgot to charge my cell that day

I skipped work on Monday because I seriously didn't feel like going. So I tried to do something that I have been wanted to do for so long...

Well money has been a little tight these days. With the new job, moving in to a new house and a whole lot of other things to consider, I have to really think twice about spending my cash.

It was just appropriate that I decided to give budget shopping a shot. I know I have been budget shopping and thrifting for my whole life. But this time I only have like 50 bucks to spend and I challenged myself to get a pair of jeans, a shirt and an accessory to match the outfit.

Another reason for this is because I wanted to get out of my office wear so bad=(

So people, I am so proud to say that I made it with only 2 bucks over budget. That is not too bad right?

I came across a double collared polo shirt that was on discounts for RM 15. The jeans is Northern Rock from F.O.S and it costs RM 30. And my last stop was Vincci where I found a studded bangle that was on sale for RM 7. Howsabout that?

Bite me shopaholics!

No Superhero

Zaki
I don't even know the name of the superhero here
Wearing Dad's checkered shirt, DC superhero tee, Topman skinny jeans and flip-flops,studded leather bracelet & green canvas bag bought in Penang

I got this superhero tee from DC last week and it was only last Sunday that I finally got the chance to take it for a spin. Like test drive for a new car=)

The tee is kinda out of my character because I am not really a huge fan of cartoons or comics. I used to watch Jem, Doraemon and some Disney's stuff but that was like 15 years ago! Nothing against manga-loving 25-year-old but I just prefer to watch real people doing real things. Ya know The Hills right? Heheh=)

The tee reminded me of the superheroes-themed Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art earlier this year where Christina Ricci wore her own glamorous take of the Wonderwoman costume.

Image lifted from HERE

Ohh!Zaki came by on Saturday to have a look at my PC. I have no idea what is wrong with the fucking thing but it just won't start=(

Stay

Wearing my new A.P.C sweater, Renoma tee (underneath), Ralph Lauren pants, Padini bag and Aldo shoes
The carnival theme Xmas in Mid-Valley
The girls and me
Reminds me of Britney's Circus

Shikin and Hanis are currently in Jogjakarta. Spending some quality time with their family and of course for Hanis, it's her boyfriend. I have to stay here and work obviously because a) I still have another week here at this college and b) I still don't have an international pasport=(

So the girls decided to meet up for a little catch up in Mid-Valley last week before they took off.

Complete sets of Japanese food, venti Starbucks and a whole lot of gossiping=)

Dance Like Angels

Borrowed blazer
The robe
It's been a while...

I've been extremely busy. There was this little graduation going on in Pan Pacific KLIA and being the only English lecturer here, I was the one who prepared the speech, the press release and I also found out later that very same night, that I was supposed to host the graduation dinner as well! These people are insane! I am nowhere near Billy-fucking-Crystal people!

Wearing: Vintage green tee (underneath), new A.P.C sweater, Seed Work pants, Aldo shoes.
KLIA
But I had no choice. I just had to drag my ass up to the podium and deliver. It was a little overwhelming, but I just did it. It was not so bad really. I kinda liked it=)

The dancer troop

The highlight of the event was definitely the cute, pint-sized dancers who performed traditional Malay dance at the dinner. They were all looking sooo-freakin adorable in their traditional Malay costumes. Being the "westernized-bitch" that I am, no one will ever thought that I will be captivated by traditional dance.

But I did...and I thought it was so beautiful. The kids are like a bunch of little angels.

They twist and turn. But their feet didn't even touch the ground, as if they have their own wings...

Label Me

Wearing my dad's plaid shirts and Northern Rock white skinny jeans, Heritage leopard-print hoodie (on the wall)

l9th Dec 2008

I’ve been labeled by people with a lot of different…well, LABELS. People always think that I am too westernized, stuck up, bad-influence, gold-digger, boy-bitch, gay, wannabe, clueless, stupid etc etc…As much as I would like to shove my middle finger to their faces, I couldn’t help but feel a little hurt by all of their nasty name-calling and label-sticking.

A friend’s partner thinks that I am a bad-influence to her man. I might have triggered some girls desire to take up smoking in the past, but that was it. It’s not like I encourage people to try drugs or have sex with strangers, right?

My mom thinks that I am too westernized just because I refused to look “festive” for Hari Raya Aidiladha yesterday. Yes, I wore my gym shorts and tee for the whole day. But I didn’t have Christmas tree in my bedroom either.

And I was close with this one person throughout my uni years. People always think that I was just taking advantage of him/her because he/she has a lot of money and he/she has a car to drive me around with. And it was not at all true! We ended up fighting towards our graduation and haven’t been spoken to each other ever since. I heard he/she hates me now and the funny thing is he/she started to believe that all the rumors are true and what people said about our “friendship” suddenly make sense.

I am officially a gold-digger.

That is why I was not at all surprised when suddenly people are saying that I am gay; simply because I talk about fashion, has a lot of gal-pal and have pedicured toe-nails.

Here people, take this label and stick it on your forehead. It reads~ BUSYBODIES.

Twilight Like Starlight

The movie
Smoking outside The Curve (It kills people!)
Our mirror reflections at Ikea
In an old Seed low-cut polo-shirt, Topman cuffed-jeans, vintage rings, carry-alls from Sungei Wang and Reebok high-tops

I watched Twilight with Wafie on Saturday. My first time in theater after the whole "Dark Knight" incident... Yes! I slept for the whole two hours of the movie=(

To my own surprise, I didn't fell asleep on Twilight. Rare occasion I know!! And it was one heck of a good enough reason to celebrate. So I splurged like a mad heir at Ikea. We love Ikea... I love the fact that I can just walk in with ten bucks inside my wallet and still be able to grab like five items.

The candles are two-bucks, the cute, artsy-fartsy postcards and cute boxes are five-bucks and sometimes I buy some cutlery for my mom that cost like four-bucks. All the senduk and spoon. It's a perfect place for Christmas shopping right?

And Christmas is also a long-awaited season for cam-whoring, mall-rat like me. I can snap pictures like there's no tomorrow! I love the giant X-mas tree, the reindeer, the elves and SANTA! Oh gosh! I wish we have snow.

Ooh! Btw, yesterday was Hari Raya Aidiladha=) Selamat Hari Raya my Muslim friends=)

P/s: My tits are visible but WTF=)

Xmas Tree

I went to KLCC yesterday for a mini escapade from my boring, quiet life here at this boring, quiet place. I took the 6pm train, get there at 7pm, grabbed coffee at Starbucks, ogled at stuff on display at Hermes & Chanel and snapped tons of photos under the giant Christmas tree... all in the same speed like Madonna in 'Ray of Light' video! I have to catch the 11.15pm train back home remember?

Did I mention that Shikin has been quiet for the whole week because she was down with the flu?

Make It Work

Counting down the days in this small office. Three weeks to go before I leave. Excited, but knowing myself so well, I couldn't help but feel a little bit nervous.

I still have a lot of things to do here. The students still have no frickin idea that I'm leaving. I wonder if they'll ever miss me. Ha-ha!

So today, I'm preparing the minutes for all the previous meetings that I have been putting on hold. Yawn! I have class at 2 pm and another one in the evening when all the adult learners will gather in one classroom to learn English from (and I'm not kidding)~ME!! When I think about it, it's a little crazy to make all these uncles and aunties do exercises on Past Participle Tense or take turns to answer comprehension questions. They are all like triple my age.

Laugh...

Ooh! I signed this little petition they made to improve and update the law for wildlife in Malaysia because apparently the Malaysia's Protection of Wild Life Act 1972 is 36 years old. It's undated and according to the petition, riddled with loopholes.

So please sign the petition HERE and help to protect and change the fate of our orang utans, elephants, whales, tigers and even the hippos.
