A lot of people asked me why do I always take photos at the parking lot. Well I am actually kinda shy to pose in front of other people, let's say at the mall or in the middle of a crowded street. But honestly, the parking lot is the only alternative when you always forget that you do have a camera inside your bag and you were actually all dressed up for the day.
Week has been moving very swiftly and I have been extremely busy with two articles back to back every week on Tuesday and Wednesday. Sometimes I have to actually do my reasearch and type my stories on my Blackberry inside a moving cab. Sometimes in between break during class on my Ipod when the students are busy finishing their essay for the day.
I can't believe it's already the end of 2010. I have to say it's been a better year compared to 2009. In terms of work, family, financial and stuff. But there hasn't been any major changes. I am still me. I'm still not a superstar...

Last Sunday I watched a play, said 'hi' to cute koi fish in the pond and stared at the clouds till my eyes hurt.
The play was a local interpretation of "Birdy" from the 1978 William Wharton's novel. It was also made into a feature film by Alan Parker in 1984. But I seriously have never heard of any of these until my friend invited me to come with her to see the play. It was quite good. The acting was good, lighting was okay and the cellist played very well. We were kinda late but I don't think we missed that much.
I put my photographic skills on a test after we left KLPac. I captured the clouds and lake outside with my Canon camera and it's not even DSLR or one of those expensive shit. But I don't care. The photos are gorgeous anyway.

I couldn't help but laugh at these people who fork out thousands of dollars for a good camera, install pirated version of Photoshop on their computers and it's like BAM! They're suddenly photographers. How stupid is that?!
Oh and I love fish! We always have fish at home; in the aquarium, the small pond in the lawn and in the tiny bowl on my bedside table. I must have been a closeted Pisces and I didn't even know it!

A few weeks ago, I wrote an article about how certain women are still rocking trends from 4,5 years ago. Surprisingly, it received a lot of negative feedbacks from so many readers who disagree with me. Well they might have thought that I wrote the article solely from my personal point of view and being a guy who claimed to know a lot about fashion is obviously not enough to convinced them that I do know what I was talking about.

But I couldn't stop these people from being very defensive about their fashion choices. Like I don't really care if they still want to wear their tunics with leggings like it was the year 2004. Or if they chose to still wear their gladiator flats looking like Sienna Miller circa 2005, I seriously have nothing against that.
But my point is the article was written simply as a suggestion for the readers so that they could trade their leggings with opaque tights, gladiator flats with the ever timeless ballerina flats, polo-shirts with Alexander Wang-style soft-fluid cotton tees and Rachel Greene's silky straight hair with Olsen twins' relaxed curls.
There was this one comment on the article about how women should wear what they feel comfortable in instead of following trends. I think that was bullshit. If all women only wear what we feel comfortable in, then nobody would ever walk in high heels or wear leather jackets in Malaysia.

In my hometown. Spending some quality time with my parents. Well it's not like I was sitting on their laps watching TV but we talked and I gave them a little bit of updates about my life back in the city.
I missed this bedroom whenever I'm away. My stacks of Teen Vogue from uni years and my mood-board are still here. Nothing has ever really changed around here. So whenever I need to feel like myself again, I pack my bags, hop on the train and tell my Mom that I'll be home in two hours.

I love this photo of myself taken by a good friend a few days ago. I found myself sporting these 7 year-old pair of Chuck Taylors again recently. Sometimes you just need to feel free and be able to move instead of having your toes all cramped up in a pair of pointy toe shoes. This Topman white tee is great too. I love the wide neck and the size of the arm holes really makes it very comfortable.
And I'm not watching what I'm eating at all here. Tell me who said no to home-made donuts?

I forgot to mention about my current obsession for lazy Sunday. I've been staying in on Sunday for the past few weeks. And I kinda liked it. I woke up really late, worked on my Sunday article, ordered take out and went to the nearby Jusco for dinner, Starbucks and cheap DVDs from the discount bin at Speedy. I scored some really awesome movies for less than ten bucks. Like Be Kind Rewind, Efter brylluppet (Danish), Snow Cake, Hors de prix (French), Run Lola Run... I love it that most people don't really watch these kinda movies. So I get to buy them for cheap.

I also got my Ipod last week from a friend. He's getting the latest version so he decided to let go of the old one that he had since last year. So not that old really. I seriously don't care about the extra features, apps and all. I just wanna have all my strange dance and electronica tracks in there. But I am quite anal about having the right single and album covers attached to each songs along with the lyrics.
And this is a photo from a couple of days ago. Right after I carelessly left my debit card at the ATM machine. I realized I didn't have it only after more than 12 hours the next day. Cancelled the card immediately but still I couldn't sleep the whole night thinking there's a jack-ass out there who must have been shopping with money from my saving account. I went straight to the bank downstairs from my office the next day (tweeted the whole process while waiting in line)and discovered that all my money was still there. Pheww...
The funny thing about Malaysian debit card is there's no pin number required each time you want to make a purchase. So anyone who's clever enough to copy your signature can use your card for their own benefit.
I swear I'll never look at my debit card (or ATM card) the same way ever again.

So what if she was a little bit too voluptuous for TV? She's going through a divorce. Leave her alone.
I just can't wait to watch Burlesque when it opens here.
