-STYLO this year will be staged in 4 different venues in Klang Valley.

-Datuk Bandar Kuala Lumpur will host the opening night

-Selected numbers of invitations for otherwise closed door festival being made available to public like Carlsberg Brewery.

-The launch of STYLO Model Club at the closing of the festival.

Here are a few photos of yours truly and the BDA team at the press conference held earlier this month at Hilton KL.

BDA Night is tonight at KL Tower. I'm writing this with clothes all over the bed and bedroom floor. I seriously don't have anything to wear.

L'APERITIF FASHION by Kronenbourg 1664

Carl modelling a look by Gallo by Thian

The fab girls- Steph, Angeline and Ori

Another look by Gallo by Thian

Kronenbourg 1664 is very synonymous with fashion. Being the official beer for MIFW 2011, Kronenbourg 1664 is continuing its support for local fashion scene with L'Aperitif Fashion.

L'Aperitif Fashion is the French version of Happy Hour. It celebrates togetherness and fashion which is exactly what the first installment of the event was all about. Everyone was dressed up to the nines at G-Tower for the event. Jimmy Choo was there as well as other familiar faces in local fashion scene like Amber Chia, Andrea Fonseka, Gillian Hung and designer Keith Kee.

The fashion show that night was courtesy of Gallo by Thian. The look was vintage-influenced with French and local mash-up. The use of clear plastic materials was inspired by the colors of Kronenbourg 1664.

Josiah Mizukami is the ambassador of L'Aperitif Fashion and did a great job at hosting the night's event.

I was sweating like a pig throughout the night. Thanks to my poor judgment of wearing an army jacket at an open-air space. What was I thinking...

An Enchanting Batik Evening with Miss Tourism International

Wearing Area27 tee, F21 cardie, Topman jeans, Seed lace-up boots and envelope clutch

I'm quite ashamed of the fact that I don't have any single batik pieces in my closet. I don't even wear sarong for god's sake! Not good. At all.

So there I was at Miss Tourism event feeling totally out of place in my cardigan and lace-up boots.

But I made up for my lack of "traditional-print fabrics" by posing in front of racks upon racks of batik right after the event. Ha-ha!

So "An Enchanting Batik Evening with Miss Tourism International" was actually a design competition. The contestants wore custom-made pieces designed by young local designers. All using batik. The winner took home quite hefty amount of cash and vouchers.

Bon Zainal was also there

There was this one design that I really like on one of the contestants and surprise, surprise! It was announced the winner that night. Not bad huh?

I should have been sitting there among the panel of judges.

KLMU Graduation Fashion Show

With Frank and Dior

Bumped into Maya Karin at Sultan later on that night

KLMU had their Graduation Show last month. I was there with my good friend Frank, Dior, Aric and Sofi. We came to show some love to Iris. She is one of the lecturers there.

It was a very simple event with students showcasing their final semesters designs. Just like any other graduation fashion shows I have attended, some of the garments left me breathless; which could be good or bad or both. Ha-ha!

Here are some photos from night. More photos after the jump.

X-Top Model Party

Free impromptu photo shoot as we step into the event venue

My partner-in-crime that night Miss Lulu aka Nurul

Wearing Heritage jacket, Rumours tee, Topman skinnies and Aldo hi-tops

Here's another post from last year but what the hell right? I was there, I had fun and it was a great pleasure to be on the guest list. I somehow feel obligated to at least write a line or two about it. And this is a party like no other. It was so hyped up on Facebook that everyone was literally begging to be on the guest list. Good job there Kenji :)

X-Top Model Party was huge! There was fashion show by the contestants, performances, DJs playing different sets throughout the night and who could forget the burlesque dancer who closes the show?!

Took off my jacket halfway through

The burlesque dancer. Totally forgot her name

Ooh yeah!

All the big names in KL party scene, local fashion and entertainment scene was there. I was just beyond excited to be part of the celebration.

Cheers!

Amy Mastura at Kose Infinity Launch

I took three different trains to get to Mid-Valley on time for Kose 40th Anniversary & the Launch of Kose Infinity Clear Force but still I missed the earlier part of the event :(

Was not at all prepared. I left both my camera and card-holder at home but I showed up anyway to support my friend Sam who was in charge of the event and of course to see Amy Mastura. Love her since I was a kid!

So we all know that Amy Mastura has been the spokesperson for Kose and that afternoon she actually renewed her contract with the major Japanese cosmetic brand. She was looking as flawless as ever wearing a billowy white blouse and gold maxi-skirt.

A little bit about Kose Infinity range:

In order to enhance color, texture and resilience of skin surface, KOSÉ Infinity focuses on papillary layer / pillar fiber 'oxytalan fiber as well as the outermost layer of dermis, which is regarded as base of skin. Kose Infinity range includes Oil Cleansing Cream, Tone Up Wash, Lotion Concentrate 14 as well as Refining Massage Cream and Clear Force which were both given to the attendees at the event to be taken home and tested.

Read more HERE

All the good photos of Amy Mastura at the event are courtesy of Sam Kassim. The bad ones below are all mine taken with my cellphone camera.

Thanks Kose!
