November is the month when facial hair is celebrated and shaving kit is shoved away into the deep end of the medicine cabinet. Although not officially written in the calendar, we all know the month has now been replaced by Movember.
Pisco Bar is gearing up for their 2nd Movember Party. Not simply a celebration for men who skip their morning ritual, Pisco Bar aims to spark conversations, create awareness and raise funds in a non-serious manner for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health. Pisco Bar’s Movember Party on the 27th November, Thursday 9pm is their biggest fundraiser with the proceeds going directly to the National Cancer Society Malaysia.
To support the fundraising, Pisco Bar is selling raffle tickets for RM20 during the month of Movember in aims to change the face of men’s health and alter this way of thinking by putting a fun twist on the very serious issue of men’s health.
Local acts such as Kyoto Protocol and Patricia K have jumped on board in support of this cause to create a fun-filled night. Companies like JW Marriott, The Frangipani Spa & Resort Langkawi, AFamosa, Bella Vista Langkawi , Alang Sedayu Jungle Lodge, The Oscillation Yoga, The Zen Spa, BMIC Nail Spa Salon, Toni & Guy & ApronBay, FlyBoard Malaysia, Crystal Yacht Holidays, Tropical Charters Langkawi and Urbanscapes are all on board to support the cause. UBER in particular, will be providing 50 free rides on the night of the event to encourage safe partying.
Art lovers who are not too keen about the idea of growing their facial hair will be able to participate in the auction of beautiful paintings by Christine Lee and Charlotte Donvang on the night of the event.
