Lomography. Fail!

A while ago Lazada Malaysia gave me an RM100 voucher to shop at their new fashion section. I have to say that the options were quite limited back then with just a bunch of 50-something uncle shoes and Korean-made pleather bags.

So I bought a pair of Tomaz leather loafers (it's a local brand) and with a balance of RM10 I decided to add an underwater Lomography camera which looked really cute on the website. It was on sale.

If you are wondering where to buy lomography camera in Malaysia, Lazada Malaysia has quite a number of selections for you to choose from.

After a couple of days or so the camera arrived, I bought a roll of film and it took me half a year to use up all 36 frames in it. I finally processed the film a couple of weeks back and it came back with only 14 usable shots.

I got them transferred into a CD and here are the results:

And these are actually the 'best' among 14 frames from the CD. So I've decided that Lomography is not for me and my cute little camera will have to just sit there on my bedside table as an ornament from now on.

No Rest For The Wicked

I haven't written anything serious (ie: ramble) for the longest time and I'm yearning to do so but having even just one whole hour with my own thoughts is a luxury these days. With my full-time job and contributing to some magazines and websites on the side, I feel like my work is taking over everything although there are times that I completely drop everything and watch old episodes of Sex and The City instead.

I would like to share my excitement about finally getting my work published in a magazine. It will be out in a couple of weeks (watch this space!). This will be my first non-online full length interview article. I am very proud of it because I've put a lot of effort into it. I went to a dog-pound to get the interview for god sake! And hell yes it was totally worth it.

I have also left the shitty online retail company which I joined just about three months ago. If there is one thing that I learned from the experience, it definitely has something to do with growing up. I feel like I have grown up so much that just being there surrounded by twenty-something who are all fresh out of the college and on their first job was an unbearable pain in my thirty-something ass.

So I decided to leave.

There was this one colleague which fascinates me but he left a week prior to my resignation. I would have stayed longer if he was still around. I don't make friends easily and being fascinated by him made me want to keep giving, which is something that I always do until I realized I have nothing left to give.

But fuck this shit! Tomorrow is a new day and we do what we do.

We begin again...

Ya know like LeBron James... okay maybe not.

Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2014: The Collections

So I've been awfully busy for the past couple of weeks with soooo many things taking place at one time. Well I've been having trouble at work too and decided to leave a couple of days ago. Amidst all the madness and frustration leading to my big decision, the much anticipated Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2014 took place.

In my effort to take my mind off the shitty day I was having at work, I decided to show up every single day for most of the shows throughout the week. KLFW2014 was definitely bigger than what it was last year. This is just its second year!

Looking at some of the collections on the runway, I have to say that Malaysian fashion industry has definitely grown. The same way I have grown after all these years. Or not really!!

This will be a two-parter. The next one will be a photo diary featuring moi. Isn't that what all these kids are doing these days on their tumblr?!

If you can't beat them, join them!

So here are some of the "usable" shots that I snapped from where I was seated. Yes. I did get front row but not for all of the shows. It doesn't really matter. I was just happy to be there.

Cheers to KLFW2014!
